Rev. Joseph M. A. Strong
Rev. Strong accepted Christ and was baptized at Second Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Cleveland. Called to preach in 2010, he was licensed at age 14 and ordained in 2018. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theological Studies from American Baptist College and completed advanced theological study at United Theological Seminary.
Providence called him as Pastor on April 29, 2018, making him the youngest pastor in the church’s history. His leadership has strengthened ministry systems, digital worship, Christian education, outreach, assimilation, facilities, and leadership development while guiding Providence through the pandemic and the 2023 flood.
He serves as First Vice President of the Congress of Christian Education of the United Missionary Baptist State Convention of Ohio and remains committed to equitable justice, community development, and building bridges toward tomorrow.
