Rev. Joseph M. A. Strong, Pastor/Teacher
Reverend Joseph Michael Aubrey Strong is the senior Pastor of the Providence Missionary Baptist Church of Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on December 28th, 1994 in Cleveland, Ohio to Dawn Fitch and Jason Strong.
Reverend Strong accepted Christ and was baptized under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Roland H. Crowder, at Second Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. There he served in multiple ministry capacities until the Lord called him to ministry in 2010. He was licensed as the youngest person in the church’s history at the age of 14. Reverend Strong was ordained in the Lord’s service in 2018 under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Kito D. March, Sr. of Second Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. Reverend Strong received a Bachelors of Arts degree from American Baptist College in Nashville, Tennessee; during his time he served as Youth and Young Adult Pastor at New Visions Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee under the leadership of Rev. James D. Clay, Sr. Reverend Strong is currently pursuing a Master of Theological Studies degree at Regent University. He is also a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated.
Reverend Strong was called to Providence Missionary Baptist Church on April 29th, 2018 as their Pastor. He is the youngest Pastor in the church’s history. Under his leadership, The Place of Providence is centered on the basic principles; Belonging, Believing, and Becoming.
His transformative and cultivating messages make him a sought-after speaker. Reverend Strong has been on podcasts, and during the pandemic in 2020, created two podcasts, "Saved, Sanctified, and Single: Navigating Singleness", and also Wellness Wednesday, tackling issues with mental health during the pandemic. Revered Strong is a champion for equitable justice and community development. He formerly served as president of the American Baptist College affiliate of the historic Southern Christian Leadership Conference, along with serving as a former officer of the Faith Movement Ohio, partnering with various grassroots organizations and nonprofits, to build a coalition of “ justice-oriented thinkers”.

Reverend Strong loves God, and loves serving God's people. He formerly served as the President of the Minister's Fellowship of the Union Missionary Baptist District Association, and currently serves as the 1st Vice President of the Christian Education Department of the United Missionary Baptist State Convention of Ohio, creating curriculum and programming for Youth and Young Adults.
Reverend Strong is the proud husband to Leading Lady Kaliah Strong, and together, they are the proud parents to Josiah & Kaiden Strong.
Reverend Strong’s goal is to redefine what 21st Century Ministry look like, by helping churches become more inclusive in organizing and empowering communities. His saying is “ we all must be the builders to a bridge of tomorrow.
